The Arcade

Arcade is a playlist in Overwatch 2. It features a rotating variety of exclusive game modes.

New game modes, Maps, Heroes and events will get their own mode upon release.

No Limits is the only game mode to never leave the rotation.

"Defeat the enemy team on a standard play map without any limits on hero selection."

Standard play[ | ]

All standard play game modes are rotated in the Arcade. Assault, a game mode from Overwatch 1, gets brought back in the rotation.

These game modes rotate daily, and they are played on standard play maps only.

"Face off in a series of one on one fights. Both players use the same random hero in every round."

"Face off in a series of one on one fights. Both players pick from the same set of heroes in every round."

  • Maps: Castillo, Ecopoint: Antarctica, Necropolis
  • Choice of 3 randomly chosen heroes per round
  • Hero selection: Limited
  • Disabled heroes: Bastion, Brigitte, D.Va, Lúcio, Mercy, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Torbjörn, Winston and Zarya
  • Victory: Defeat your opponent five times

Capture the Flag[ | ]

"Two teams of five players compete to capture the enemy team's flag while defending their own."

  • Players: 10
  • Maps: Ayutthaya, Ilios Ruins, Lijiang Garden, Nepal Village, Oasis University
  • Victory: Capture 3 flags
  • Victory: Team with more captures when time expires

"Two teams of five players compete in a fast-paced match to capture the enemy team's flag while defending their own."

  • Flag rule: Flag pickup instant
  • Flag rule: Flag carrier abilities restricted

  • Victory: Team with more captures when time expires

Mystery Deathmatch[ | ]

"Climb to the top of the scoreboard with every player using heroes that randomly change upon respawn."

Bounty Hunter[ | ]

"Gain points by killing the target to claim their bounty and become the target yourself, raising your health and ultimate meter to full. Earn bonus points by killing non-target heroes as the target."

The first player to get a kill is marked with a Bounty and becomes a Target. Players can kill the Target to claim their Bounty and become the next Target. Targets receive bonus points for kills.

  • Maps: Random Deathmatch
  • Duration: 10 minutes
  • Allows locked heroes
  • Victory: First to 4,000 points
  • Victory: Player with the most points when the time expires

Hero Gauntlet[ | ]

Play through a set list of heroes in a deathmatch environment. Each time you get a kill, you swap to the next hero. The first player to complete their list wins.

  • Players: 8 player FFA
  • Allows locked heroes
  • Victory: First player to earn 22 kills
  • This mode was created in the workshop.

Mirrored Deathmatch

Mirrored deathmatch[ | ]

A free-for-all battle against identical heroes!

  • Players: 8 player FFA
  • Mirrored heroes
  • Allows locked heroes
  • Victory: Earn more kills than the other players
  • This mode was created in the workshop.

Event modes[ | ]

Game modes that appear during limited-time events and seasonal events are also featured in the Arcade.

Anniversary[ | ]

During the Overwatch Anniversary event, recent playable seasonal and limited-time events can be found here. Since Overwatch 2, these have been on a weekly rotation consisting of previous Season game modes. The assault game mode has also known to be playable for an entire week, although it does not allow any other standard play events to be in the daily rotation.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Total Mayhem does not have Flashpoint as a playable game mode.
