Detonators are advanced combat units utilized by Null Sector. They are a specialized type of omnic, deployed primarily for destroying larger objects rather than taking out individual enemies.
Summary[ | ]
Detonators are encountered in Uprising. They have no attack of their own, and cannot directly harm heroes. They will slowly move toward's Torbjörn's payload, then trigger their self destruct sequence once within range. They appear as a large sea mine on a set of hover jets.
Tactics[ | ]
Detonators are slow moving, and will only activate once they reach the payload. Their armor can be shot off to reveal their weak spot, or they can be knocked away from the payload after activating by an ability like Reinhardt's charge. It is also important to note that they receive significantly more damage from both Reinhardt's hammer and Genji's Dragonblade, allowing them to rapidly destroy them single handedly.
Trivia[ | ]
- Detonators do not speak or make any sort of communication attempt.
- Detonators share a likeness with the Sentry Busters from Team Fortress 2, both resembling an underwater naval mine.
