Story[edit | edit source]
Doubleday and the unit took part in the assault on Monte Cristi. They had been assigned to extract Daniel Fernández of the Playa Cartel, but failing to find him, Cuerva ordered them to tear the town apart until they did. What began as an extraction operation turned into a massacre, and following on from said massacre came looting. Doubleday helped himself to some jewelry while Private Mazzei playfully pelted him with antique coins. However, Baptiste slipped away during the operation, and the unit was assigned to locate him.
On Baptiste's trail in Port-de-Paix, Doubleday and Mazzei were dispatched to locate the missing Pacanowsky after he didn't return from purchasing supplies. His emblem was later sent to Cuerva by Baptiste in a folder letter, ripped from his uniform. The squad was assumed KIA, but this was never confirmed.
