The Phi Mu Alpha Overwatch League (PMAOWL) is an eSports league for the video game Overwatch. Members of this league are also members of the fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. March 17, 2018, marked the beginning of Season 3 for PMAOWL, where the team captains drafted their teams.

Previous Seasons[edit | edit source]

Currently, there are no videos for Season 1 of PMAOWL, and there are only 2 videos for Season 2:[1]

Season 3[edit | edit source]

Games start at approximately 10:00pm CST, and are live streamed on Twitch.tv. They are played in a Best of Three format, but all three games are played, regardless of the results of the first two.

  • The League officially started on March 17th, 2018.
  • The team 'I'm Here So I Won't Get Fired' changed their name to Marshawn Moon.
  • Starting in Week 2, the League adopted a new map picking system:[3]
    • For regular season games (3 maps):
      • A coin toss will pick one team.
      • The winner of the coin toss picks one map to ban.
      • The other team picks another map to ban.
      • The first team chooses the map for the first match.
      • The second team chooses the map for the second match.
      • The first team bans the map for the last match.
      • The second team picks the map for the last match.
    • For postseason games (5 maps):
      • The maps will be decided before the match by the commissioner and at least one other person.
