Ranesh Grewal is the sarpanch of the village of Suravasa.
During a construction project in Roshani by the Vishkar Corporation, the ground breaking caused a tremor that destroyed the statue of Aurora in Suravasa's temple. Vishkar representative Satya Vaswani was sent in to do whatever she could to make it up to the people of the village. Along with a scowling crowd, Grewal confronted her, telling Vaswani that they wanted nothing to do with Vishkar. He did, however, allow her to enter the temple, albeit reluctantly.
A week later, Vaswani revealed her work to the world—she'd repaired the statue of Aurora, interweaving its stone with hard-light. Grewal, smiling, told Vaswani that he'd misjudged her, that her repair of the statue could not have been more perfect.[1]
