The Echo Project was an Overwatch projected headed up by Dr. Mina Liao.
History[ | ]
The Echo Project was built around the idea of creating an adaptive robot for use in the field. Research was conducted in secret[1] in a facility in Oslo, Norway,[2] where a robot prototype was created. Blackwatch agent Jesse McCree helped keep the project secret and served as a bodyguard for Liao.[1]
The project was terminated after Liao's death[1] in an attack by Talon on numerous Overwatch faculties in Oslo,[2] and the robot placed in quarantine.[1]
